His keen interest is arthroscopic (key hole) and reconstructive replacement (knee and hip) surgery. He is an active member of the SA Knee Society and SA Shoulder and Elbow Society as well as the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
Dr Naudé Marais is in full time Orthopaedic private practice at Life West Coast Private Hospital in Vredenburg since 2004. He provides a dedicated Orthopaedic Surgery service with a special interest in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery as well as knee and hip replacement surgery. He is also involved in providing certain general Orthopaedic services in hand and foot surgery as well as trauma surgery.
